Can I upgrade, downgrade, or cancel my account at any time?

Of course. Any time you want more or less from your Big Cartel store, you can instantly change plans on the Store > Plan page of the admin.

When you cancel your subscription with Big Cartel, your store will be automatically downgraded to our free plan. You can also completely delete your store from our system. All of this is done on the Store > Plan page of the admin.

No partial/pro-rated refunds are given.

How do I close my account?

To cancel your Big Cartel store, go to the Store > Plan page of your admin area, scroll down, and click the close my account link.

Closing your account will immediately and permanently delete all products, images, stats, and other data.

If you’re on a paid plan, you may consider simply downgrading to our free Gold plan instead.

If you just need to change your store’s name or URL, you can do that on the Store > Settings page of your admin area.

How do I switch the PayPal account billed for my account?

Note: this explains how to change the PayPal account billed for your store’s monthly subscription and not where money is sent for orders. You can change that on the Store > Settings page of your admin area.

Changing the PayPal account billed for your store’s monthly subscription is a bit of a hassle because PayPal doesn’t allow us to modify your subscription directly. You need to cancel your current subscription and create another one with your new PayPal account.

How do I switch the credit card billed for my account?

You can change or update the credit card billed for your Big Cartel store through your PayPal account. Just be sure you add your new credit card before removing your old one. PayPal has a nasty habit of canceling your subscriptions when you do it the other way around. :)
