Who gets access to a shop's admin?

Your Big Cartel shop was created with one shop owner in mind. That means the shop email we have on file in the Account page of your admin is the sole address we can grant admin access to.

It’s super important that you can send and receive messages with this email — double-check to ensure everything is spelled correctly and keep it up-to-date.

Forgot your password?

You can always get a password reset link sent to your shop's contact email. As a backup, we recommend adding a phone number to your shop’s admin to help in situations where you can’t access your shop email.

For security purposes, we can't grant access to a shop’s admin unless you are reaching out to us from the associated contact email. The only other way to gain access would be through a court order. We will of course comply with any court orders to turn data over to the right party.

Transferring your shop to someone else

If you’d like to transfer access to your shop to someone else entirely, please reach out to us first and we can walk you through what's required before you hand access to your admin over to someone else.
